Welcome

Welcome to this edition of The Cincinnati Times. In this issue we are focusing on strategic changes businesses are considering during this economic downturn.

Terry Henley from Employers Resource Association discusses the need to maximize your labor dollars by employing a strategic compensation program. John Thompson, from Fisher & Phillips, LLC, provides a warning about cutting salaried workers wages improperly.

In our Support Corner we go through some of the reports in NOVAtime and ADI software designed to help you control your labor costs.

As always we welcome your input. Please let us know what we can do to better serve you.

Best regards,

Support Corner – Using NOVAtime 3000/4000 to Control Overtime

The majority of our clients' first priority when using a Time & Attendance system is to accurately automate the calculation of hours for processing payroll. Those that want to get the most benefit from their system use the reporting tools to control their organization's labor costs. Attached are examples of reports from NOVAtime and ADI that are designed for that purpose. The sample reports from NOVAtime 3000/4000 are here; sample reports from NOVAtime 4000 Dashboard with Real Time Information are here: ADI Version 10 are here.

Important Web Software Announcement!

Microsoft has recently released Internet Explorer version 8 (also referred to as “IE8”). This version is being installed as part of Microsoft’s critical updates. Although our vendors are working toward this end, neither ADI nor Novatime have yet completed certification for their web software with this version of Internet Explorer. In fact there are known issues in trying to use these products with IE8.

For this reason we highly recommend NOT installing or upgrading to IE8 at this time. Please check (or have your IT person check) to see if this version has already been installed on your workstation through the automatic updates and revert back to version 7 if you find that this update has already occurred. Please forward this information to your IT person and feel free to also contact our helpdesk if you need assistance in this area.
